Baseball Recap: Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Takes a Loss

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Martha's Vineyard Regional Vineyarders. The Dolphins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vineyarders earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Slade, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Martha's Vineyard Regional, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dennis-Yarmouth Regional will welcome Falmouth at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Martha's Vineyard Regional, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monomoy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
