Volleyball Recap: Smoky Valley Takes a Loss

Smoky Valley lost against Halstead two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10.

Trista Spitler paced Smoky Valley's offense, picking up four kills. Spitler got some help from Ceeley Friesen and her seven assists.

Smoky Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-22. As for Halstead, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 29-5.

Coincidentally, Smoky Valley and Halstead will both be playing Southeast of Saline the next time they take the court. The Dragons will head out to face the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
