Baseball Game Preview: Northwest Raiders vs. Sacred Heart Trojans

The Northwest Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Sacred Heart Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the first.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Northwest and Elizabeth have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. Northwest lost 11-2 to Elizabeth.

Dreamon Haywood and Aden Wheeler did some serious damage despite the final result: Haywood scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2, while Wheeler went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Haywood has posted over his last 12 contests. C. Malveaux also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart didn't have quite enough to beat St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday and fell 3-1.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Sacred Heart, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
