Basketball Recap: Worth County's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After flying high against Berrien last Friday, Worth County came back down to earth. The Worth County Rams took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bacon County Raiders on Friday. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Leading Bacon County to victory were Xavier Harris and Santiago Bizzell. Harris dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 boards, while Bizzell dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten assists. Bizzell's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Theron Moore was another key player, going 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Worth County now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Bacon County, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Brantley County the next time they take the court. Worth County will head out to face Brantley County at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Bacon County will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
