Softball Recap: Liberty-Eylau Comes Up Short

Liberty-Eylau was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the De Kalb Bears, falling 20-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-1 back in March.

Liberty-Eylau's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for De Kalb, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Liberty-Eylau is taking a road trip to square off against Queen City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Queen City has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.81 runs per game on average), something Liberty-Eylau will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for De Kalb, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Atlanta at 5:30 p.m. Atlanta will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something De Kalb surely won't give up without a fight.
