Football Game Preview: Lake Dallas Falcons vs. Aubrey Chaparrals

The Lake Dallas Falcons will face off against the Aubrey Chaparrals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Lake Dallas is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points on October 3rd, they were much more limited against Panther Creek on Thursday. They lost to the Panthers on the road by a 31-13 margin. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Panthers are ranked 50th).

The losing side was boosted by Dj Hicks, who picked up 94 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aubrey). They breezed past Community to the tune of 49-7 on Friday. The Chaparrals have beaten the Braves the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Braves has come to flipping the script.

Lake Dallas' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Aubrey, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-6.
