Volleyball Recap: Polytechnic Comes Up Short

If Polytechnic was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Notre Dame (SO) on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Rio Hondo Prep Kares on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kares apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Polytechnic will welcome Flintridge Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Sierra Vista at 2:45 p.m.
