Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monroe-Woodbury). They came out on top against the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks by a score of 67-56 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Goldbacks: they've now won nine in a row.

Newburgh Free Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Terrinashjae 'TT' Burden, who went 5-for-7 en route to 22 points, and Kallie McCoy, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 18 points and six boards. The game was Burden's tenth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Janiya Coleman, who posted eight points.

Monroe-Woodbury's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Newburgh Free Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13.
