Recap: Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars vs. Wilson Prep Tigers

The Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Wilson Prep 84-44. While losing is never fun, Rocky Mount Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 576th, while Wilson Prep is ranked 74th).

Rocky Mount Prep lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rashyd Johnson, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kobe Davis, who scored 11 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wilson Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Anderson, who scored 13 points along with six assists and five steals. Ben Ferguson was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with two steals.

Rocky Mount Prep's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Wilson Prep, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
