Volleyball Recap: Brevard HEAT Takes a Loss

The Brevard HEAT Firehawks didn't have quite enough to beat the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs on Friday and fell 2-1.

Cambrya Walters paced Brevard HEAT's offense, picking up nine kills. Walters got some help from Anna Livengood and her 15 assists. Aine Hanley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lakewood Ranch was led to victory by Mariana Alvarez and Julia Vendramini. Alvarez had 23 digs, while Vendramini had 23 assists and nine digs. Alvarez is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Brevard HEAT's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lakewood Ranch, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Brevard HEAT has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Bishop Verot on the 23rd. As for Lakewood Ranch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Harvest Community on the 23rd.
