Baseball Recap: Brooke Takes a Loss

Madonna hit Brooke with a ten-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bruins came up short against the Blue Dons, falling 10-2.

Brooke saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Moore, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Brooke's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Madonna, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 24-4.

Looking ahead, Brooke will host Fairmont Senior at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Polar Bears have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. Madonna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
