St. John Paul II and Mashpee are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Lions will head out to take on the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for St. John Paul II's offense. They lost 19-0 to Rising Tide on Thursday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mashpee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Rising Tide, falling 21-8.

Mashpee's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for St. John Paul II, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

St. John Paul II took their victory against Mashpee when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 25-10 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
