Volleyball Game Preview: Hug Hawks vs. Reed Raiders

Hug hasn't had much luck against Reed recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Hug lost 3-0 to Spanish Springs on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-13, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Reed came up short against Reno two weeks ago, falling 3-0.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Reno scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-20.

Hug's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Reed, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.

Everything went Hug's way against Reed when the teams last played back in September, as Hug made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
