Basketball Recap: Elizabeth Paulos Key Part of a Team Effort in Griffins Win

Great Hearts Northern Oaks got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They skirted past the Young Women's Leadership Academy Cardinals 45-43.

Great Hearts Northern Oaks' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elizabeth Paulos led the charge by putting up 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of DeLaney Paulos, who posted 16 points.

Great Hearts Northern Oaks' victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Young Women's Leadership Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-20.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Marion the next time they take the court. Great Hearts Northern Oaks will head out to face Marion at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Young Women's Leadership Academy will host them at 6:30 p.m. on January 21st.
