Soccer Game Preview: South Whidbey vs. King's

The South Whidbey Falcons will challenge the King's Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Whidbey's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

South Whidbey came up short against Bush on Thursday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, South Whidbey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Bush are ranked 51st).

Meanwhile, King's didn't have quite enough to beat Bush two weeks ago and fell 2-1. King's haven't had much luck with Bush recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

King's now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for South Whidbey, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

South Whidbey might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from King's in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
