Baseball Recap: Lake Placid Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lake Placid's offense. They came up short against the McKeel Academy Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Dragons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lake Placid's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for McKeel Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Lake Placid will venture away from home to take on Clewiston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for McKeel Academy, they will host IMG Academy Gold at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
