After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Columbus Grove, Bath was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Van Wert Cougars as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their seven-match losing streak.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bath was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-12.

Lila Capps paced Bath's offense, picking up nine kills. Capps got some help from Zoie Bayliff and her 20 assists. Capps was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Bath's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Van Wert, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-22.

Bath has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Wauseon on the 21st. Van Wert does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
