Football Game Preview: Bellevue Broncos vs. Climax-Scotts Panthers

Bellevue hasn't had much luck against Climax-Scotts recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Broncos will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Bellevue has given up an average of 36 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bellevue is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Mendon on Friday. They were beaten by the Hornets 66-12. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-6.

Meanwhile, Climax-Scotts entered their tilt with Athens on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Indians 59-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Indians are ranked 101st).

Climax-Scotts' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Bellevue, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.
