Basketball Recap: Macedonian Christian Comes Up Short

Macedonian Christian lost against Harvest Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Macedonian Christian were dealt an 86-13 loss at the hands of Harvest Christian. While losing is never fun, Macedonian Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1263rd, while Harvest Christian is ranked 268th).

Despite the loss, Macedonian Christian still got an impressive performance from Sara Alonzo, who posted eight points. That was a full 61.5% of Macedonian Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Macedonian Christian now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Harvest Christian, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-3.

Macedonian Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Harvest Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. Harvest Christian has already played their next game, a 70-12 victory against Juan Diego Academy on the 23rd.
