Softball Recap: Garinger's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Garinger took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Monroe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Garinger beat Monroe on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 19-17. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Monroe, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Garinger will be playing at home against Butler at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Monroe, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-2 loss against Forest Hills on the 20th.
