Avon Grove has gone 9-1 against Bishop Shanahan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Avon Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Shanahan at 3:45 p.m. The timing is sure in Avon Grove's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Bishop Shanahan has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Thursday, Avon Grove was able to grind out a solid victory over Owen J. Roberts, taking the game 7-4.

Devin Rinker tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Logan Nelson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Andrew Simeone was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Bishop Shanahan never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past East 10-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Bishop Shanahan also got a great performance from Griff Ceribelli as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 6.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brett Barber, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Owen McGrory, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Avon Grove now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bishop Shanahan, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went Avon Grove's way against Bishop Shanahan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Avon Grove made off with an 8-2 victory. Does Avon Grove have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Shanahan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
