Weld Central is 0-10 against Fort Morgan since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Weld Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Weld Central is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They fell 9-6 to Liberty Common.

Weld Central saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Witzel, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The Rebels are 4-2 when Witzel posts two or more runs, but 2-7 otherwise. Pierce Thoene was another, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Fort Morgan came into Saturday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with an 11-6 victory over Platte Valley on Saturday.
Cooper Chisum made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Samson Ortega was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Izeiah Ortiz, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs.
Fort Morgan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Fort Morgan's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-9. As for Weld Central, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Weld Central has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Fort Morgan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
