Baseball Recap: Belleview Beats Leesburg for Their Fourth Straight Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belleview). Everything went their way against the Leesburg Yellow Jackets on Tuesday as the Belleview Rattlers made off with a 15-6 victory. The win was nothing new for the Rattlers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Dylan Florio was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jayden Fortune, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Belleview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February of 2024.

Belleview's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Leesburg, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belleview will host Dunnellon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leesburg, they will take on Tavares at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tavares is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
