Softball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They lost 19-1 to the New Ulm Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 18 runs.

Marshall saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Schaefer, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Schaefer has snagged this season.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for New Ulm, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Coming up, Marshall is taking a road trip to face off against Jordan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Ulm, they will square off against Hastings at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
