Basketball Game Preview: Yulee Hornets vs. Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles + Official Tickets

Yulee is 0-5 against Paxon School For Advanced Studies since November of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Hornets will venture away from home to square off against the Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Yulee will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Westside, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Hornets blew past the Wolverines 56-23 on Friday. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 23 points or more this season.

Rheyna Hilton produced another solid effort dropping a double-double with 31 points and 18 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe Clark, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 15 boards.

Meanwhile, Paxon School For Advanced Studies was able to grind out a solid win over Baker County on Tuesday, taking the game 50-38.

The victory made it two in a row for Yulee and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 51 points in those games. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Yulee was dealt a bruising 49-9 loss at the hands of Paxon School For Advanced Studies in their previous matchup back in November of 2018. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
