Football Game Preview: Luling Eagles vs. Florence Buffaloes + How To Watch

After each having a week off, the Luling Eagles and the Florence Buffaloes will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses dating back to last season for Luling and 12 for Florence dating back to last season.

Luling's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Llano last Friday. They were beaten by the Yellowjackets 53-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1067th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 331st).

Meanwhile, Florence played a tough contest last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Ingram Moore, falling 44-7. The Buffaloes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.

Luling's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Florence, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Luling skirted past Florence 17-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
