Sam Ross Turns in Season-Best Effort

Sadly, Sam Ross posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Pepperell over Bremen on Friday. Ross rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 26 yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.

Pepperell is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Ross and Pepperell will take on Model at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Underclassman Ethan Tisdale Major Player in Heard County Victory

Underclassman Ethan Tisdale came into Friday's match looking to prove himself and that's exactly what he did. Temple had no answer to Tisdale on Friday as he rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes.

Temple had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Tisdale it was a similar story. When Tisdale last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 79 yards and two touchdowns.

Madoc Garcia posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 131 yards.
