Recap: Three Rivers vs. Dowagiac
After flying high against Berrien Springs on Tuesday, the Dowagiac Chieftains came back down to earth. Dowagiac was just a three-ball short of a win on Friday and fell 50-48 to the Three Rivers Wildcats. What made the loss an especially bitter pill for the Chieftains to swallow was that they had been favored by 10 points coming into the matchup.
The game brought Three Rivers to 7-11 and dropped Dowagiac to a mirror-image 11-7.
Dowagiac is staying on the road next week to face off against Paw Paw. Dowagiac won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. As for Three Rivers, they will face off against Vicksburg on Tuesday. The Wildcats aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them this last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.
