Basketball Recap: Annandale Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Annandale played in conference for the first time on Monday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 67-57 win over the Foley Falcons. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Falcons are ranked 309th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory got Annandale back to even at 8-8. As for Foley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Annandale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-42 win against Central on the 4th. Foley has also already played their next game, a 68-49 victory against Eden Valley-Watkins on the 4th.
