Baseball Recap: Kankakee Valley Triumphs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kankakee Valley had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Lowell Red Devils. The Kougars haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Lucas Parker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowan Kenning, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Kankakee Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lowell struck out 11 times.

Kankakee Valley's record is now 15-12-1. As for Lowell, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-16-1 record.

As of now, neither Kankakee Valley nor the Red Devils have any future games scheduled.
