Basketball Recap: Roosevelt's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Roosevelt came into Friday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 59-47 win over the Stevens Raiders on Friday. The Rough Riders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Roosevelt's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Stevens, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

The future could be bright for both Roosevelt and Stevens: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Roosevelt will try to hand Rapid City Central their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Stevens will look to extend Jefferson's three-game losing streak when the meet at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
