Baseball Recap: Carlisle Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Carlisle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Bryce Hockley looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bradyn Sober, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Finn Frawley, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Carlisle's record now sits at 3-9. As for Bishop McDevitt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlisle will head out to take on Gettysburg at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Thundering Herd's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bishop McDevitt, they will head out on the road to square off against Palmyra at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight.
