Plainview had won three straight games and Kohen Lingenfelter did his part to make it four on Friday. The Pirates took their game with ease, bagging a 64-36 victory over the Bloomfield Bees thanks in part to Lingenfelter, who shot 77% from the field on his way to 22 points and three steals. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Maertins, who posted seven points and eight boards. He has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played.

Despite the loss, Bloomfield still got an impressive performance from Beau Eisenhauer, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 19 points and eight boards. That was a full 52.8% of the Bees' points, marking the fifth time in a row Eisenhauer has had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ajay Jensen, who scored eight points and eight rebounds.

Plainview's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-5. As for Bloomfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Plainview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-31 victory against West Holt on the 20th. As for Bloomfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-43 loss against Randolph on the 20th.
