Softball Recap: North Lamar Comes Up Short

After flying high against Paris last Thursday, North Lamar came back down to earth. The Panthers took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sulphur Springs Wildcats on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

North Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Sulphur Springs, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. North Lamar will take on rival Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sulphur Springs is set to square off against their familiar foe Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
