Basketball Recap: Iroquois Comes Up Short

Iroquois has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sweet Home Panthers. The Redhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Iroquois' loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Sweet Home, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.

Coming up, Iroquois will challenge Northstar Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Iroquois has insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Sweet Home, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers challenge the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Union-Endicott's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests.
