The Chiefs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Fisher Nichols was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, CJ Oxendine made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.

North Myrtle Beach's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Carolina Forest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.
