Volleyball Game Preview: Evergreen Valley Cougars vs. Piedmont Hills Pirates

For the first time this season, Evergreen Valley will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Thursday. They will square off against the Piedmont Hills Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, everything went Evergreen Valley's way against Willow Glen as Evergreen Valley made off with a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

While Evergreen Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10, 25-24.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills had already won four in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the 76ers.

Piedmont Hills pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Evergreen Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
