Northmont took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Oakwood Lumberjacks. The Thunderbolts haven't had any issues with the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Northmont got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 20-25, 25-13.

Coincidentally, Northmont and Oakwood will both be playing Fairborn the next time they take the court. The Lumberjacks will head out to face the Skyhawks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Thunderbolts will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
