Volleyball Recap: Munising's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

If Munising was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Dickinson last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the Forest Park Trojans on Thursday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 20-25, 25-16.

Addie Bowerman paced Munising's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bowerman got some help from Carissa Deatsman and her 28 assists. Finally, Bowerman was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Munising's loss dropped their record down to 13-6-1. As for Forest Park, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1.

Coming up, Munising will square off against North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Forest Park has already played their next matchup (against Ishpeming), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
