Baseball Recap: Priory Gets the Win

While Priory's victory against Harker wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Priory skirted past Harker 9-7. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Kai Aalfs made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Matthew Sun was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Owen Lee was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Priory was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harker only posted a batting average of .222.

Priory now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Harker, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4.

Coming up, Priory is taking a road trip to square off against Crystal Springs Uplands at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gunderson at 6:00 p.m. on April 5.
