Recap: Childress Bobcats vs. Jayton Jaybirds
The Childress Bobcats's 21-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell just short of Jayton by a score of 44-41.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Journey Prince, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emma Jalomo, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Childress has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Jayton, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Childress is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Stamford at 5:45 p.m. on November 21st. One thing working in Stamford's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Jayton, they will head out on the road to face off against Tahoka at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tahoka has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
