Centennial came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Everman Bulldogs as they made off with a 10-0 win. The Spartans' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four games.

Ava Ellis was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Kalie Randall was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Mackenzie McKeon also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Centennial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive contests.

Centennial's record now sits at 23-6-1. As for Everman, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Centennial will take on rival Joshua at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2.7, the Owls 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Everman is set to square off against their familiar foe Cleburne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
