Basketball Recap: Brookville Skates Past Amherst County with Ease

Brookville made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Amherst County, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Brookville Bees blew past the Amherst County Lancers 59-31 on Monday. That 28 point margin sets a new team best for the Bees this season.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Holt Bresach, who posted 11 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Colton Christian, who earned six points and four steals.

Brookville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Amherst County, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Brookville has already played their next matchup, a 59-42 defeat against Rustburg on the 28th. As for Amherst County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-26 loss against Liberty Christian on the 28th.
