Basketball Game Preview: Whitehouse Wildcats vs. Texas Tigers

Whitehouse and Texas are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Whitehouse Wildcats duke it out with the Texas Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Whitehouse is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Whitehouse came up short against Hallsville and fell 45-38. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Bobcats are ranked 900th).

Meanwhile, Texas also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Lufkin by a score of 51-42. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Whitehouse now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Texas, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10.
