Basketball Game Preview: Charlotte Christian Knights vs. Forsyth Country Day Furies

The Charlotte Christian Knights will look to defend their home court against the Forsyth Country Day Furies at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Forsyth Country Day put the hurt on High Point Christian Academy with a sharp 51-27 win. The game marked the Furies' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Forsyth Country Day's win came from a few key players Charlotte Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lila Kelly, who earned 21 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Forsyth Country Day's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gigi Lyons, who posted 15 points.

Charlotte Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Forsyth Country Day, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.

A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lyons, who went 11 of 20 on her way to 25 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
