The Hudson Bluehawks will challenge the Red Hook Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hudson's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Red Hook's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Hudson and Maple Hill, and Hudson kept the tradition alive. The Bluehawks skirted past the Wildcats 4-2. The Bluehawks haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Gannon Logue was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
Logue wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Antonio Troy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That's the most hits Troy has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Red Hook). They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Rondout Valley on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Dylan Dibble spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has become a key player for Red Hook: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise.
At the plate, Red Hook got a big performance out of Robert Paschal, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan MacDonald, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Hudson's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Red Hook, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Hudson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Red Hook struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Hudson couldn't quite get it done against Red Hook in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 14-11. Will the Bluehawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
