Football Recap: Cyril Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Cyril proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 46) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand the Thackerville Wildcats a 2-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Pirates' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Wildcats are ranked 74th).

The victory (which was Cyril's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31 points. As for Thackerville, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

As of now, neither Cyril nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
