Basketball Game Preview: Sitka Wolves vs. Mt. Edgecumbe Braves

Sitka hasn't had much luck against Mt. Edgecumbe recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Sitka Wolves will jump right back in to play the Mt. Edgecumbe Braves at 6:00 p.m. Sitka will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Thursday, everything came up roses for Sitka against Houston as the team secured a 62-20 victory. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mt. Edgecumbe came up short against Ketchikan on Saturday and fell 44-34. The contest marked the Braves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sitka's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Mt. Edgecumbe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

Sitka came up short against Mt. Edgecumbe in their previous meeting back in February, falling 44-33. Can Sitka avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
