It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Thornton Academy had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 40-28 victory over the Bonny Eagle Scots. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Bonny Eagle lost, don't look at Colin Moran. Despite the final result, he rushed for 149 yards and three scores, and also threw for 152 yards and one TD.

Thornton Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Bonny Eagle, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Thornton Academy will face off against Portland on Saturday. Bonny Eagle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
