Bishop Ready is on  a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Bexley a 12-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck  on Friday. The Bishop Ready Silver Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bexley Lions  at 5:15  p.m. The two teams are strolling into their  matches after big wins in their previous games.
Bishop Ready is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. Everything went their way against Whitehall-Yearling on Wednesday as they made off with  a  17-6 win. The Silver Knights haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 Rylan Taylor spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. Those six  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  her.

 On the hitting side,  Ana Sanchez was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.  Mila Gerardi was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.
 Bishop Ready  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .561. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Bexley made easy work of Franklin Heights  on Wednesday and carried off  a  17-3 win.
 Bexley let  Kyra Duffee and  Claire Watts run wild. Duffee  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-2, while  Watts  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kayla Duffee, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Bishop Ready's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Bexley, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-7.
Bexley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Bishop Ready has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .442. It's a different story for Bexley, though, as  they've  only  averaged .341. Will they be able to contain Bishop Ready's hitters?
 Bishop Ready took their  victory against Bexley  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  20-1 score. Do  the Silver Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
